Howdy! My name is Zee (they/them), and I am a queer, auDHD artist born and raised in Minneapolis. I got my first tattoo at Jackalope in 2017 + started tattooing here March 2025 - I’ve loved this group of weirdos for a long time and am beyond grateful to be one of them.
My journey to tattooing began when I started drawing as a kid and never stopped - you can still find colored pencil drawings on the walls of my childhood home! I learned the basics of art from how-to-draw books from the library and YouTube tutorials. I also attended an arts high music program where I played banjo, guitar, and piano. I studied Cultural Anthropology in college, while also taking art classes for electives as much as I could! Prior to tattooing I worked in the salon industry for 10 years; after being laid off in 2024 I finally decided to bite the bullet and pursue my dream job!
I love reading non-fiction & horror, discovering new music, collecting vinyl, traveling, knitting, crossword puzzles, hazelnut lattes, trains, studying astrology & astronomy, stationary, spreadsheets (lol), board games, films (especially horror) and eating good food. I have a soft spot for senior cats and have hospice fostered in the past!
